Anatase Titanium Dioxide

Titanium white, scientifically known as Titanium Dioxide, has the molecular formula TiO2 and a relative molecular mass of 79.90. CAS Registry Number: 13463-67-7, EINECS Registry Number: 236-675-5. Also referred to as titanium white, it is an inert pigment and is considered the best-performing white pigment in the world today.

Main application fields of titanium white: coatings, plastics, inks, and papermaking, with coatings accounting for 60%, plastics for 20%, papermaking for 14%, and other fields (including cosmetics, chemical fibers, electronics, ceramics, enamel, welding rods, alloys, glass, etc.) accounting for 6%.

In the rubber industry, titanium white serves both as a coloring agent and provides reinforcement, anti-aging, and filling functions. When added to white and colored rubber products, it ensures sun resistance without cracking or discoloration under sunlight, high stretchability, and resistance to acids and alkalis. Titanium white for rubber is mainly used in automotive tires, rubber shoes, rubber flooring, gloves, sports equipment, etc., typically in the anatase form. However, for automotive tire production, a certain amount of rutile-type product is often added to enhance ozone and UV resistance.
